Uganda is a very new producer country when it comes to Speciality coffee. On the day we received the Bariguna, we were blown away by its’ flavors, it made us freeze and look at each other in surprise! The coffee was out of this world. Our first thought was rum, a mouth-watering, boozy flavor. It took us only a few minutes to make the decision to buy it as we had to share it with you. So here it is, Uganda Bariguna.
This arabica is grown around Bugisu and Kapchorwa on the slopes of Mount Elgonat at an altitude of 1900-2100 masl. Bariguna Coffee Ltd., established in 2020, works currently in partnership with two producers, creating access to buyers who are committed to dependable and fair relationships. Bariguna supports the producers in improving their farm management and processing methods to obtain higher and fairer prices than is currently the case. This coffee is picked and then sorted by hand during and after drying.
