Samba Coffee Roasters presents for the first time a naturally processed coffee from Kenya!
David Maguta, a great pioneer producer from Nyeri Kenya, is behind this great coffee. David has also been responsible for this years’ coffee that won the 5th place in the WBC championship in Milano, with barista Martin Shabaya!
David has been working closely with Belco France and more precisely under their Hands On Coffee Project that is trying to reduce the environmental footprint by implementing naturally processed methods with farms.
Back to the Gakira Estate now, John Mitsuki who is the farms owner has worked alongside David. The coffee we present you is a blend of SL28 and Ruiru 11 and has been grown at 1800masl. It is of a natural process, something we are not used to from coffees from Kenya, and it’s flavor amazed everyone here at Samba Coffee Roasters.
Varietal: SL28 – Ruiru 11
Flavor profile: Red grape, prunes, dried papaya. Malic acidity, velvety body.
